RispondiEliminaThe JZM artwork definitely adds to the experience for me, very much in the spirit of ECM - who don't release nearly as many live albums as they used to, so Barabbovich provides a great service in filling the gap with all these recordings. Speaking of which, I've never heard Frisell in a big band context before, so this posting gives the ideal opportunity. Another testament to the great variety that you get with musica degradata!

Unfortunately it would appear that attempts to D/L this interesting Bill Frisell/NDR Big Band concert have now been nixed by Uploaded, which is a real shame...but thanks anyway for all the wonderful music you have made available over the years, it is greatly appreciated.

RispondiEliminaanyone know of a another site perhaps that has this show? i cannot find it anywhere. there is another frisell big band album for sale on several sites. however, the setlist on this one is more to my liking, containing frisell's great composition "throughout" as well as monk's "misterioso." Thanks.
